Ugandan shea butter, also known as Nilotica shea butter, is a rare and luxurious variety harvested from the Vitellaria nilotica tree found in the savannahs of Northern Uganda and South Sudan. It is prized for its soft, creamy texture and high oleic acid content, which make it more easily absorbed into the skin compared to its West African counterpart. 

• Appearance and texture: It has a soft, creamy texture that is easily spreadable at room temperature and melts quickly on contact with the skin. Its color ranges from ivory to buttery yellow.
